This site is about what I like and do.
It is about my favourite pieces of work, about things I have done, news about what I am going to do next etc. This site is addressed to students, friends and colleagues. At the bottom of the page you can find links how to get to my social networks, my daily online paper Hello Design! and how to contact me.

Hello Design!
This is a digital daily paper that comprises a best-of of everything that’s being posted on twitter about graphic design. Internationally. An experiment for me, let’s see if there is anything useful coming out of. This is the link to get there, have a look and hopefully subscribe:
Zurich is calling! In August some CREATIVE FRIDAY students could make it to the Scholz & Friends Zurich office for an intensive and colourful agency-workshop-day. Thanks to all my Swiss colleagues for helping and being inspiring guest lecturers!
In July I was part of the GWA Junior Agency jury in Frankfurt. In eight different teams students from various universities and colleges were given the chance to present their creative and strategic solutions, each working on a different, quite challenging and very real client briefing. Gold winner was the university college Mannheim team with agency sparring partner Publicis for the client BUND.
In May both FH Mainz CREATIVE FRIDAY classes were invited for a two day workshop at Scholz & Friends Hamburgs head office. Many thanks to Nico Lumma and to our host. I think we had quite an inspiring time with plenty of interesting talks and discussions.

From the 4th to the 8th of May I was a member of the jury at the Art Director’s Club Germany in the category “event”. At the grand award show I had the pleasure of awarding two golden ADC nails, one of which went to one of my personal favourite pieces, the magazine cover design of Mirko Borsche’s ZEIT Magazin.
In March I started a “Vertretungsprofessur” at the Fachhochschule Mainz, teaching two CREATIVE FRIDAY seminars about advertising and communication design.
In February Piet Truhlar shot the Credit Suisse Bonviva campaign with Roger Federer for us in Dubai. Here you see Roger (standing on a box) and Piet. (Picture taken from truhlar.de)
Out of home campaign for MyClimate Switzerland.
Climate change is one of humanity’s biggest challenges. How can we use our natural resources sparingly? How can we go about emitting less CO2 in future? The non-profit foundation myclimate – The Climate Protection Partnership, is an international initiative with Swiss origins. Founded in 2002 as an ETH Zurich spinoff, myclimate is among the world leaders when it comes to voluntary carbon offsetting measures. Science-based and market-oriented, myclimate offers a comprehensive package of services for offsetting in accordance with the principles of “avoid – reduce – offset” and “do the best and offset the rest”. From 6 December 2010 myclimate launches a new communication campaign with the focus on CO2 offsetting.
